My father gave me 1k taka and other family members gave me some more. In total it was 20k, I thought I would spend all of my money freely but remember my mother taught me how to save money. Then, I said to myself , I should follow my mom’s rules. There was a shop that sells ice-cream and I bought ice-cream for everyone. It cost 1k taka and still I had 19k taka. After that, we used some rides for entertainment and it cost 9k taka. Rest of my money I kept in my pocket and headed home. At the end, I told my mom about my savings of 10k. She was so happy that I followed her rules and she gave me a blue box so I could save all of my money over there.

One day, I saw my mother taking out a small box from her cupboard. It was full of colorful envelopes. “What’s in those?” I asked. She winked and said, “Secrets of smart saving!” Each envelope had a label—Groceries, Gifts, Fun, and even Surprise. She explained how she saved money for different things every month. I was amazed—it felt like a treasure chest of plans! Inspired, I made my own envelopes using old birthday cards. I drew pictures on them—books, games, and even ice cream. Every week, I added a few coins. Slowly, the envelopes began to feel heavier. One weekend, I opened my Books envelope and bought a comic I’d wanted for ages. It felt like magic! Now, saving isn’t just a habit—it’s a game I love. Thanks to my mother, I’ve learned that saving can be fun and full of surprises!

Growing up, my mother was my first everything, along with my first financial guide, teaching me the value of saving. She always emphasized that saving wasn’t just for the future, it was about being ready for life’s surprises. From saving for small treats to planning for unexpected expenses, I learned that every penny matters. Her lessons instilled in me, not only financial wisdom but also discipline, patience, and foresight. Over the years, saving became my second nature, and her guidance continues to shape how I manage money today. Thanks to her, I understand that saving is more than just a habit, it's a way of life. Thank you, Mom. I love you.

My mother taught me the value of money by saving. I had a dream of having a certain item it coated a lot but I was able to achieve it because of my mother. It all started when my mother told me to keep a money bank, kind of like a piggy bank ,she bought it for me with a low price of 70 Tk. Since then I have been keeping coins and notes (money notes) in it for a long time. Every time someone had a coin in our house they would give it to us to put in the bank.we saved for a long time. There were times I wanted to break it and take the money but my mother told me not to give up on saving and break it.i listened to her.after a very long time I saw that the money bank was full and I was able to break it since I couldn't put anymore money in it.when I broke it I felt very happy about it.i was able to buy my dream item.that was my favourite memory of how my mother taught me the value of money

When I used to think about banks, I imagined big buildings full of money. Now, I know my best bank is my mom! She taught me about saving and being smart with money. When I was five, she gave me a black piggy bank and a small wallet, explaining that every coin I save helps my future. At first, I didn’t understand, but as I grew, I did. Whenever I wanted candy, she said, "Save your money to buy something better." She also showed me that saving isn’t just about money; leftover food could be turned into something tasty and healthy. One day, after helping her in the garden, she gave me money and said, "This is what effort feels like." I learned money comes from hard work and should be used wisely. She also taught me to compare prices and choose wisely at the market. My mom isn’t just my first bank; she’s my greatest teacher. Saving is about planning, responsibility, and valuing hard work. I’m grateful for her lessons, which will stay with me always.

When I was a kid, my mother was like my first bank. She bought me a big box where she’d help me save coins and money I got from relatives and my parents. Whenever I wanted to spend it all on candy, she’d say, “Save a little, you’ll need it someday.” Slowly, I started to understand. One day, I opened the box to buy something that I really wanted, and there it was, all my savings, neatly counted. That moment stuck with me. It wasn’t just about the money. It was about learning to wait, to plan. Looking back, I didn’t just save money, I learned value. And now I save my money on my own in the bank by opening an account.

Before I even knew what money meant, I knew my mother. She was my first safe place, my first smile, my first lesson. But when I saw the title “My Mommy, My First Bank” in our homeroom announcement, it hit me, she truly was my first bank. Not just because she paid for things, but because she saved my dreams, fears, and every fall and rise. Each month, she sat with her notebook, tracking every expense, rice, oil, medicine. Quietly, with care and discipline. She never told me to save; she showed me how. Her savings helped us through tough times, and she even set some aside for orphanages. She taught me that saving isn’t just for ourselves, it’s about giving, too. To others, she’s just a mother. To me, she’s the reason I understand the value of money, kindness, and foresight. She didn’t just raise me, she invested in me. And if I live wisely, it’s because of her. Thank you, Maa.

**My Favorite Memory of Learning the Value of Money** One of my favorite memories was when my mother gave me a small, worn-out coin purse and took me to the local grocery store. Instead of buying everything for me, she handed me just enough money to pick one treat—a short cart of my favorite snacks. As I stood in front of the shelves, I carefully compared prices, realizing that some items cost more than others. My mother gently explained that money doesn’t last forever, so choosing wisely matters. In the end, I picked something I truly wanted instead of wasting coins on things I didn’t need. That day, she taught me that money is earned, not endless, and that small, thoughtful choices make a big difference. It’s a lesson I’ve carried with me ever since.

When I was younger, I didn't think much when spending money. Back then, I didn't put much thought before spending a lot of money on sweets, toys, chocolates, ETC. I didn't know the value of money nor the difficulty of earning money. But, much like most things in my life, my mother taught me the important lesson of saving money. I remember one day, I wanted to buy an expensive toy. But, when I told my mother that I wanted that toy. She instead took me all around the market and nearby to show me the people who are working so hard for the same amount of money that I am willing to spend with no regard on how hard people are working for money. That day she explained the importance of saving and not wasting money to m. And, I am very grateful for that because no one could have explained that to me on that day except my mother. And, since then I have always been saving money with my mother and father in piggy bank.
